Traditional and Alternative Medicine Scientific Session

Session on Traditional medicine

Traditional medicine and Alternatives encompass various aspects of modern and traditional clinical research in the fields of Proteomics, Chemistry, Pharmacology, safety, quality control, metabolomics, molecular biology, genomics, and clinical studies of traditional Chinese, Arabic, Unani, and Ayurvedic medicine. In certain African and Asian countries, up to 80% of the population relies on traditional medicines for their primary healthcare needs. When practiced outside of its cultural context, traditional medicine is often referred to as alternative medicine. Traditional medicine includes herbalism, ethnobotany, ethnomedicine, and medical anthropology. The exclusion of alternative medicine is not part of a policy or science-based healthcare system.
